Once I set my mind on wanting to do something it just becomes a matter of time before it gets done. My iphone game was done by myself and a couple of dedicated friends just for the experience.
Title: Creative Lead / Designer / Artist
Brain and Zombie was an independent iPhone game that I had to get out of my system. I am glad I made it, because I don't think I would have been as prepared to be a Creative Lead if I hadn't have this little project under my belt.
After losing 2 programmers to other commitments, this project became a labor of love and often running on faith. I would work on designs and assets with only my imagination on whether or not they would work based on if we ever got a programmer to implement them.
I quickly learned how many steps it takes when you are designing a game from the ground up. I enjoyed wearing all the hats I did in addition to designer - including artist and animator. I was able to integrate a design logic into everything I did. From the animation of how long it takes for the Tenderizer to throw a punch to how the Bumper Zombie looks and bumbles along. Thankfully we happened upon a new programmer who is quite the visionary himself, and I made a great friend in the process.
